Ice Breaking Party

The kick-off for the conference's social programme is the Ice Breaking Event on Sunday at the conference venue - in the Freihaus building, 1st floor. It will start at 6:15 p.m. right after the tutorials.

This event is the perfect opportunity for getting to know each other in an informal atmosphere while tasting a selection of great Austrian red and white wines, accompanied by different kinds of cheese.



Welcome - City Hall

The Welcome will be on Monday, September 20 at 8 p.m. After an impressive walk along Vienna's Ringstraßen boulevard passing by many of Vienna's attractions, we will have a welcome event in the Coat of Arms Halls (Wappensaal) of the Vienna City Hall (Rathaus).
Doors open: 7.30 p.m.

Reception - NNational Library

The official iPRES 2010 reception will be on Tuesday, 21. September, 7:00-10:30 p.m. It takes place in the Austrian National Library.

As the main scientific library of the Republic of Austria, the Austrian National Library can look back on a history rich in tradition dating to the 14th century. It is a living bridge between the rich heritage of the past and the claims of a modern informed society oriented toward the future.

The reception will start with a guided visit to the stunning Prunksaal (State Hall) of the Austrian National Library, followed by a reception in the Aurum of the National Library.
Doors open: 7 p.m.
Begins at: 7.30 p.m.
