Nick Amirreza Tahamtan is a researcher at the Dept. of Software Technology & Interactive Systems, Information & Software Engineering Group, Vienna University of Technology. He received the degree of Master of Science (Diplom-Ingenieur) in computer sciences with distinction from Vienna University of Technology and his Ph.D. in computer science from University of Vienna as well with distinction.
From 2001 till 2005 he has been a research assistant at the Dept. of Neurology, Medical University of Vienna, from 2005 till 2009 researcher and post doctoral fellow at the Dept. of Knowledge and Business Engineering of the Faculty of Computer Science , University of Vienna, 2009-2011 assistant professor at the Vienna Universty of Technology. Since 2011 He works on the projects CLOUD-PIONEER and Smart Grid for Consumers.
His research interests include Cloud Computing, Green-IT, Environmental Informatics and Energy Aware and Low Carbon ICT.
He is an author of several peer-reviewed research articles including book, book chapter, journal articles and conference and workshop proceedings. He has served as a member of program committee of different international conferences and
workshops and reviewer of international journals.
