Monika Lanzenberger received her PhD from the Vienna University of Technology, Faculty of Informatics in 2003 and her MSc in Computer Science from the Vienna University of Technology in 2001. She is a member of the academic faculty of the Institute of Software Technology and Interactive Systems. From 1999 to 2001 she conducted a project for women in computer science funded by the European Union (esf) and cooperated in other national and international research projects. She has published several papers in international conferences and workshops. 2002 she won an outstanding paper award for the work on the evaluation of navigation in hypertext learning systems. She was a reviewer for a number of international conferences and co-organizer of international workshops. Monika Lanzenberger visited the NTNU, Department of Computer and Information Science, Trondheim, Norway (February - October 2005) and the Centre for IT Innovation (CITI) at the CRP Henri Tudor, Luxembourg (November 2005 - July 2006) doing a Post-Doc fellowship (ERCIM). Currently, she works on visualization of ontologies and semantic data. The focus of her research is: Information Visualization, Ontology Alginment, Knowledge Acquisition, and Semantic Web.
