These are the winners of the challenges in the Waves Vienna Music Hackday 2016:- Best gesture and sound combination: Metal Stance by Richard Vogl and Daniel H¨tter
- Best hack on music & emotions: MoodyMusicBot by Kira Zatsepina, Alex Hofmann and Thomas Schranz
- Best hack using body signals #1: The Soulmusic Experiment by Simon Brenner, Manuela Kaindl, Daniel A. Maierhofer and Martin Maw
- Best hack using body signals #2: Gythadance by Sebastian Schmutzhard, Saranya Balasubramanian and Tatiana Statsenko
- Best interactive sound installation: Sweet Spotting by Johannes Wernicke
- Best interactive sound retrieval: One Word World by Tobias Hildebrandt and Daniele Scarano
- Best kids hack award: Scratchcat in the Hood by Paolo Perfahl and Markus Rauber
