Short Description and Results
CESI 2013 was the first of a series of workshops always hosted by the ICSE conference. The acronym comes from Conducting Empirical Studies in Industry, so the focus of the workshop is clear. This edition we had one keynote presentation (prof. Barry Boehm), thirteen paper presentations (a mixed of full and short papers), two practitioners' messages (short statements from industry representatives) and finalized with a discussion session. Over the day we had around 40 attendees stepping in and out. The website includes most of the slides. A summary of the workshop is available at the ACM digital library.
The co-organizers of the workshop were:
- Xavier Franch, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Spain (ISERN member)
- Nazim Madhavji, University of Western Ontario, Canada
- Bill Curtis, CAST Software, USA
- Larry Votta, Brincos, USA
