Vienna Subway (Metro) system

ECDL 2005

Public transport in Vienna is fast, reliable and safe.
The conference takes place near Karlsplatz, a node of 3 subway lines: U1, U2, U4.
Subway stations in the city are recognizable by the blue [U] sign.

Arriving with the S7 train or the CAT from the airport, you will have to leave at Landstraße (Wien Mitte) and take the U4 to Karlsplatz.
Arriving with the Vienna Airport Lines bus from the airport at Schwedenplatz or Südtiroler Platz, you will have to take the U1 to Karlsplatz.

Notice: subway line U2 (purple) is out of service during the conference. Use the tram lines 1, 2 or D along Vienna's ring instead.

Subway is available from 5:00 in the morning until about 0:15 at night. Between 0:30 and 5:00 a night bus service is offered (same tickets valid).
