Public
transport
in Vienna is fast, reliable and safe.
The conference takes place near Karlsplatz, a node of 3 subway lines:
U1, U2, U4.
Subway stations in the city are recognizable by the blue [U] sign.
Arriving with the S7 train or the CAT from the airport, you
will have to leave at Landstraße (Wien Mitte) and take the U4
to Karlsplatz.
Arriving with the Vienna Airport Lines bus from the airport at
Schwedenplatz or Südtiroler Platz, you will have to take the
U1 to Karlsplatz.
Notice:
subway line U2 (purple) is out of service during the conference. Use
the tram lines 1, 2 or D along Vienna's ring instead.
Subway is available from 5:00 in the morning until about 0:15 at night.
Between 0:30 and 5:00 a night bus service is offered (same tickets
valid).

Tickets:
Tickets are valid on all buses, trams, subway
lines and S-Bahn trains within Vienna; tickets can be bought from
machines in subway stations, major subway stations have
counters
as well (e.g. Karlsplatz, Schwedenplatz,
Stephansplatz, Landstraße
(Wien Mitte), Westbahnhof), open Mon - Fri,
6.30 to 18.30, and also in shops with the sign "Tabak Trafik" (i.e.
tobacconist).
