Project 6: Graph Browsing for Professional Search

Host Organisation: The Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS), University of Leiden, the Netherlands

The position in this project is no longer available.

Objectives: To develop a user interface for (1) graph browsing, (2) interactive exploratory search based on the graph interface

Expected Results: A working prototype of a graph browsing interface will be developed that allows users to browse through the organization's knowledge graph and to cluster parts of the knowledge graph in coherent contexts and topics. Requirements for the user interface will be collected from a focus group of legal experts at Zylab, using existing search engine interfaces (what do they like; what do they dislike) and mock-up graph browsing interfaces. The graph browsing interface is based on existing open-source software for ontology browsing. The interface will be evaluated with end-users from our user group, with data from Zylab.
